Zhangzhou announced August consumer index, fresh fruit prices rose nearly 20%

Coinciding with the arrival of the fifth China statistical open day, the Zhangzhou survey team released the consumer price index of Zhangzhou for the month of August: in August, the overall level of consumer prices in Zhangzhou increased by 1.9 %, among which food prices increased by 4 % and non-food prices by 0.8 %;  Consumer goods prices rose 2.2 per cent and service items rose 1.2 per cent.  On a month-on-month basis, the overall consumer price level rose 0.4 per cent from the previous month.  In January - August this year, the total consumer price level rose 2 % year - on - year.  
 In the eight categories, food prices have risen by 4 per cent over the same month last year.  Among them, the biggest increase is fresh fruit, the price rose 17.8 %, the smallest is fresh vegetable, the price rose 0.9 %;  While the price of fresh eggs rose by 9.7 per cent, the price of aquatic products rose by 5.7 per cent, food prices increased by 3.9 per cent, oil prices declined by 3.2 per cent, and meat and poultry and their products rose by 2.7 per cent and condiments by 1.9 per cent.  
 The impact of related policies and market regulation on tobacco, alcohol and supplies was still fermented, with prices falling 0.3 per cent year - on - year.  Among them, tobacco prices rose 0.3 per cent and liquor prices fell by 1.1 per cent.  
 During the summer vacation in August, travel became a choice for many families, which is also reflected directly in the CPI.  The price of entertainment, education, cultural goods and services rose 1 per cent.  Among them, the price of pre-school education rose by 3 per cent, recreational and cultural prices rose by 0.7 per cent, and tourism prices rose by 3.8 per cent.  Residential prices rose 0.6 per cent in August from a year earlier, while water, electricity and fuel prices fell by 0.6 per cent, but building and furnishing materials rose by 1.7 per cent and rental prices increased by 3.7 per cent.
